SEM Analysis of Commercial Materials: First post!

Project Description

The project will involve the characterization of new nano-engineered materials such as carbon nanotube fibers with the instructions of Dr. Vernizzi and Dr. Kolonko. Characterization of these materials will be made using various instruments in the SAINT center of Siena College. Potential challenges include learning the correct way to use all these instruments and working with nanoparticles. Learning how to interpret and characterize the materials based on the measurements will also be a challenge. I will deal with these challenges by researching about each instrument and studying what properties to look for in the materials.
